Paper Making Process
Recovered paper is unloaded and stored. Various paper grades are kept separate. The paper mill uses different types of fully recycled kraft paper. Recovered paper is moved from storage and placed on the conveyor by means of a forklift.
The paper moves by conveyor to a big vat called a pulper, where water and chemicals are added. The paper, water and chemical mixture is pulped together. The pulp is then pumped through screens to remove contaminants, such as staples. Pulping and screening has now been completed.
Screen pulp is then cleaned, by means of centrifuge. A centrifuge is a series of cone shaped cylinders. The pulp is spun through, causing heavy particles to displace.
